The Shelby County SuperGirls are a 12U travel softball team based out of Chelsea, Alabama.  Our team is instructed with enthusiatic, fast-paced practices by experienced coaches.  We want our SuperGirls to LOVE the game of softball while also learning how to play at their maximum potential and of course WIN GAMES.  Our Head Coach, Todd Richardson believes this high level of competitive softball can also be fun too.  The reason for playing softball is to have fun.  Our organization does not equate competitiveness with miserable, long, hard, boring traditional practices or yelling at players for mistakes.  We will be competitive and keep the fun in the game.  At this age, if a player makes an error, they know it.  Yelling only takes the fun out of the game.  We use positive reinforcement and it does work.   This does not mean that we don't push the players to be excellent at whatever they do in softball.  We teach mental and physical toughness, use high-level, fast-paced training techniques all while keeping it fun.  Our pirmary goal is to grow this team into WINNERS that learn to WIN through hard-work, discipline, sportsmanship and character.
