THIS WEEK IN SOFTBALL....
Hi Everyone,
I hope everyone has had time to rest up and relax from a LONG weekend of softball!!! The next couple of weeks we do not have too much going on, to give the team a mid season "break" and give everyone time to focus on exams and graduation.... Girls.. you did a great job this weekend... may not have been the exact result you wanted.. but you played hard.. learnt some tough lessons, improved even more, and we now know where we need to work for the rest of the season..... Trust me when I say you guys are being talked about, as one of the big contenders as one of the top teams in the province for Provicials this season!!! A BIG thank you also goes out to all of the parents who helped out with the information/merchandise tent this weekend.... we have had nothing but positive responses, compliments and feedback from everyone involved including coaches, parents and umpires... we couldn't have done it without you!!!!!
PRACTICE:
Thursday June 16 - 6:30 - 9:00pm - Shear Park
NOTE: For those of you who still have game balls to be signed.. we will finally all be together so please bring them to practice and we will have a signing session before practice starts...
Sunday June 19 - 10:30 - 1:30pm - Shear Park
NOTE: Bring a light lunch/snack with you as we will break for 20 minutes in the middle of practice for lunch/snack, rest, replenish etc....
Pete and myself will also be working with the Squirt Select team and organizing a batting practice for them following our practice that day, so if anyone would like extra community service hours and would like to stay and help please let me know... it is by no means mandatory... just if you are able to, and would like the additional hours.....
GAMES:
We have no games this week....
Looking ahead, or next set of games will be Sunday June 26th, when we host St.Catharines for an afternoon double header at Shear Park...
PARENT MEETING:
Just to give everyone a heads up for your calendars, I would like to have a quick parents meeting 45 minutes before the first game on Sunday June 26th, just to quickly make sure we have everything covered for Montreal.
Please let me know if anyone has any questions....
