The mission of the Town of Winterville Parks & Recreation Department is to effectively and efficiently meet the recreation needs and interests of residents of all ages. Efforts to fulfill our mission focus on the updating of present facilities and playgrounds, planning for the acquisition of future facilities, and the provision of a wide range of year round recreation activities that utilize traditional and innovative programming ideas.
The 2009 11u & 12u 50/70 ENC State Championships begin at Winterville Recreation Park July 8-13th.
16 teams from in 2 different age groups will be competing daily for the right to move on the the southeast regional championships.

AEROBIC LINE DANCING MOVED TO AG COX GYMNASIUM
Line dance classes will not only keep you informed on the latest dance moves, but will also keep you in shape. Join Dennis Forbes at the AG Cox Gymnasium as he teaches us the steps to popular line dances, new and old. Each session is $3 per person. Classes will meet starting June 2 and meet every Tuesday night from 7:30 – 8:30 PM. Winterville Parks & Recreation hopes to see you there!
2009 SUMMER CAMP INFORMATION IS LOCATED UNDER REC PROGRAMS AND SPECIAL EVENTS.
As of now we are having a South Central High School Football Camp, East Carolina Freedom Soccer Camp and a Science and Nature Camp. We are looking at also adding youth arts and crafts, information about these camps will be released soon. Please check back soon
