The mission of the Town of Winterville Parks & Recreation Department is to effectively and efficiently meet the recreation needs and interests of residents of all ages. Efforts to fulfill our mission focus on the updating of present facilities and playgrounds, planning for the acquisition of future facilities, and the provision of a wide range of year round recreation activities that utilize traditional and innovative programming ideas.


Pitt Stop
 
Pitt Stop is a mobile recreation van that will make several scheduled stops around Pitt County for children ages 3-12. Children are invited to participate in activities including: arts and crafts, puppetry, music, games, and a variety of other physical fitness activities as scheduled. For dates, times, and other information please click here.

T-Ball & Pee Wee Registration
 
Interested in having your child take up baseball? T-ball and pee wee is where they need to start. T-ball is for children ages 4 & 5, Pee Wee is for children ages 5 & 6. Both will keep children active, teach baseball fundamentals, good sportsmanship, and a winning attitude as well as foster a love for the game.

Registration begins online on Monday, March 8, 2010. Walk in Registration is March 16th & 17th at the Parks & Recreation Office (2936 Church Street in Winterville Operations Center). The fee for both is $25 for residents & $40 for non-residents.


Winterville Church League Softball
 
Registration for Church League Softball begins March 15, 2010. All rosters, consent forms and fees must be received by the Winterville Parks and Recreation Department no later than April 16, 2010 if you intend to be in the league. Men’s League play will begin May 10, 2010. Women’s League play will begin June 7, 2010. Team entry fees are $450 per men's team and $400 per women's team. Player entry fees are $10.00 per resident player (living within city limits) and $20.00 per non-resident player (living outside city limits).

Babe Ruth Baseball
Babe Ruth Baseball registration will be March 16th & 17th at the Parks & Recreation Office (2936 Church Street in Winterville Operations Center). Babe Ruth is for 14-15 year olds. The cost is $125 per person. To see birth chart for elgibility please click here.

Town of Winterville Easter Egg Hunt

The Town of Winterville will host its annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Winterville Recreation Park. Come take part in Pitt County’s largest Easter Egg Hunt featuring 10,000 eggs. Know who else will be there? Come find out on Sunday, March 28, 2010 at 2:00 p.m.!
