The following are rule and policy changes for the 2012 season

We will all work more closely to prevent uneven numbers of teams that create the need for bye weeks. We may approach your program to encourage adding a team or potentially combining a team.

It has been agreed that associations must complete the following before any their teams will be placed on the schedule.

1)      Provide rosters for every team that is complete with the required data including the Association, Age Division, Team Name, Head Coach, player names and numbers, in numeric order.

2)      Have paid for trophy cost estimate and cost of player cards

It was also agreed that:

Any association that posts standings will only include win/loss

No hurry up offense is allowed in the 5-6 bracket

Fifth quarters in the halfback division are eliminated

Head coaches can only coach one team, regardless of program

Extra points/punts/etc with no rush are not considered as plays in the 6 play/half minimum

Any coach that is ejected from a 5-6 game is ejected for the balance of the season.

Local Rules for seating, smoking, partying, etc… must be enforced by each association.

Board members do not wear badges or take badge privileges at visiting field.

We will have a unified draft system requirement. Details will follow.

We have agreed to split the 11 year olds and 12 year old into separate divisions, for a one year probationary period. Many unknowns will occur that will require decisions that may violate our existing rules, such as minimum roster numbers. Be patient with us as we work through this. This is most likely the biggest change we have made in the last decade. All draft rules will continue to be enforced, when multiple teams are being formed. In addition, the 11 year old maximum running weight will be 125 pounds.

It is likely that the 9-10 year old division will split into a north/south conference. This is needed due to the number of teams in that division (about 20).
