BDGSA’s Mission Statement: Attitude, Effort, and Integrity!!!
Attitude: always presenting a positive view on any situation- remembering that different people can see a situation rather differently.
Players: always contributing a POSITIVE attitude coming to and from the ballpark/gym, towards coaches, parents, other players, umpires and other volunteers.
Coaches: always contributing a POSITIVE attitude when coming to and from the ballpark/gym and on the field at all times towards parents, umpires, team members and other volunteers.
Parents/Guardians: always contributing a POSITIVE attitude when arriving to and from the ballpark/gym towards any players, coaches, umpires and other volunteers.
Effort: a conscious exertion of power: how much depends on what you want to get out of the game of softball.
Players: always giving it 100% effort on and off the ball diamond (practices and games) to achieve maximum results for your team.
Coaches: always giving it 100% effort on and off the ball diamond to achieve maximum results for your team and organization.
Parents/Guardians: always supporting your child and encouraging your child to give 100% effort on and off the ball diamond.
Integrity: a consistency of actions, values, methods and measures that focus towards the organization, team, volunteers and others in a manner of high respect/sportsmanship.
Players: always respecting other players, opponents, umpires and coaches as a sign of high sportsmanship and class when participating on and off the ball field.
Coaches: always show respect, sportsmanship through your methods, actions, and values towards your players, parents, umpires and other volunteers.
Parents/Guardians: always show respect, sportsmanship through your methods of attitude, actions and values towards your child, coaches, umpires and other volunteers. |
