Welcome to the Arena Youth Football League

The Arena Youth Football League (AYFL) is a Non-Profit Select Indoor Football League started in 2006. We offer youth players in the Pacific Northwest an opportunity to play Indoor Football after the regular football season has ended. The AYFL follows the same rules as the Arena Football League with slight variations geared towards youth.

Expansion for the 2012 Season

The AYFL is one of the few youth football leagues in the Bellevue/Everett/Seattle/Tacoma area that offers kids the opportunity to play against teams they normally do not see in their fall football season. Our 2011 season included teams as far North as Stanwood and as far South as Graham.

Working to increase our footprint, we are preparing to host league games in both Washington (Snohomish county) and Oregon (Portland area) for the 2012 season. We hope to create additional divisions in 2013 to better serve teams in Pierce county as well as the Olympia area.

Each year we have to turn away several players due to lack of coaches. We have players that come from cities that do not have team representation and each year we hear the same question "why doesn't our city have a team?"

The answer is simple. We need interested and active coaches that are willing to coach teams for their cities in all age divisions. The rule variations for arena are simple and fun. We even hold coaching clinics to make understanding this game simple.

Important Dates for the 2012 Season

The 2011/2012 tentative season dates are:

Dec 2011 - Team Applications Accepted
Jan 2012 - Tryouts for Individual Select Teams
Feb 2012 - Practice Begins
Mar 2012 - Games Begin
May 2012 - Playoffs and Championship

Age Divisions for the 2012 Season

Our divisions are age based and are determined based on September 1st of the 2011/2012 School Year. The 2011/2012 Age Divisions are:

Senior Division: Age 13 - 14 (Born on or after Sept 1, 1996)
Junior Division: Age 11 - 12 (Born on or after Sept 1, 1998)
Midget Division: Age 09 - 10 (Born on or after Sept 1, 2000)
Peewee Division: Age 07 - 08 (Born on or after Sept 1, 2002)

3/13/2012 - AYFL Mar Board Meeting
