How to Embed a Flash Poll from PollDaddy.com

1. Go to PollDaddy.com and signup for a free account. Once you're logged in, click on "Create a Poll" from the "Poll" menu item at the top of the page.

2. Post your Poll. Add your poll question, answers, and select your poll options. Once you've done that click on the "Save and Continue" button at the bottom of the page.

3. Select Code Option and Copy the Code. The default code produced by PollDaddy.com is javascript. You cannot paste javascript into the text editor on your site. Switch to the "Flash Poll Method" and copy the code from the green code area.

4. Paste code into text editor. In the Rteamsite.com admin area for you website, either edit your welcome message or create a news or announcement article so you have a place to paste the embed code. In the image below I created an announcement and titled it "Monthly Poll". Important: Before you paste the code, you must use the HTML button at the bottom of the text editor, to switch the editor mode to HTML. Use your mouse or the paste button in the editor to paste the PollyDaddy embed code into the editor. Click on the "Add Announcement" button or "Update Welcome" button depending on the page your on to save your changes. If it's a announcement, make sure you publish the article and have it available on your home page.

5. View your site. Switch over to your site and you should see your poll listed in the appropriate section on your home page. The image below shows a sample poll with the questions and then a view of the results.
