Never heard of Animoto? Well your not alone, but they offer a very simple and cool service where you can upload images, add text and music and have a video created for you automatically. The free service limits your video to 30 seconds, but even the free service allows for some neat videos that can be embedded directly on your team or league website. Below is one I created for the baseball team I coach. Pretty cool for just uploading some photos and making a few selections. Click on the movie below to see what one of these looks like.
• Step 1: Setup an account on the Animoto website. Click on the "End of Slideshows" button below to go directly to their site:
• Step 2: Create you video I'm not going to go over how to create the video on the Animoto site, it's pretty straight forward. Here is an example of what you will see when your video is complete.
• Step 3: Video Toolbox Once you've completed your video, click on the video toolbox button in Animoto, which will appear right below your video. Circled in red above.
• Step 4: Select Embed and Copy Code From the Video Toolbox, you'll see an Embed button. Click on that button and copy the code.
• Step 5: Paste Animoto code. In your team or league web site, edit the page where you want to add the video. Click on the HTML button at the bottom of the text editor to switch the text editor to HTML mode. Now paste the facebook code into the text editor. Switch back to "Normal" mode using the button at the bottom of the editor and you should now see the video showing up in the text editor. Publish or update the page and view your site to see your video on your page.
Animoto does have more options if you want to pay for an account. I think it's a really nice service and your team will love the videos.
