Q: How do I purchase a web site?
A: While the products are similar each sport has it's own features and is sold on it's specific product information page. Use the following links to the product information page for the sport you're interested in. The "Buy Now" buttons to purchase are just under the product features.
Q: Does the price of the product include hosting?
A: All Rteamsite web products are hosted by us and there is no additional hosting charge. There is no option to purchase the product and have it hosted at another location.
Q: What will my web site address be?
A: All web sites will have the product, such as baseball after rteamsite.com followed by the sitename that you will pick after you purchase the product. So if I purchase a baseball
site and we are the Bay City Bandits I may choose to BCBandits for a site name. My url would then be: www.rteamsite.com/baseball/bcbandits/
Q: If I purchase the web site only product that doesn't have stats do I lose any other functionality?
A: No, all other features are included.
Q: I have another program that I use for keeping my stats. Can I upload my stats to the web site?
A: Yes as long as the program you use can export your stats in a report format, you can upload that report to your site and have it displayed.
Q: Do I have to calculate my own stats such as batting average or are they calculated for me?
A: All calculated stats are performed by the product. You enter in the raw data and the program will total and calculate all the statistics for your reports.
Q: Could you further explain the security issues?
Unfortunately we're living in a era where people use the internet for the purposes of gathering information about local youth activities. The first level of security that Rteamsite employs is not listing your team or linking to your team
site from any page within the site. As long as someone else doesn't link to your site from another web site, this practice of not linking to your site from a directory page keeps your site invisible to search engines which in effect keeps it invisible to
people searching for such information. If you would like to have your site indexed by search engines, you can submit a request and be added to a directory page.
In addition, there's an admin page for selecting your menu items where you can add custom pages, links, and other menu items. In addition there is an option to select whether you want a page displayed or not displayed, or whether you want a page secured or not secured.
Secured pages require a team password to view and contact information is secured by default. Many coaches also secure additional pages and reports, including stats.
Since your site will be invisible to search engines unless you tell us to place it in a directory page, most security is done by coaches to keep players from viewing information, such as individual stats, that they don't want their players to see.
If you select to not display a page, the information will still be available within the admin area of the site. This allows a coach to hide individual stats on the site, but still have access to those reports in the admin area.
The combination of security features keeps the information private and available for the people you want to be able to view it, without having to password protect your entire site.
Q: Is the data entry easy?
A: Most of the data entry is very simple and doesn't require much time. Statistics by the sheer amount and regularity can take time, but all forms have been setup to make it as quick as possible. Your team and opponent stats can
be entered at an individual or team summary level, or you can mix the two. Many coaches will enter individual stats for their team and team totals for opponents. If you would like to try out the
admin area for any product, please email to don@rteamsite.com and ask for access to the admin demo area for the product you are interested in.
Q: I've never used PayPal, is it secure and do I have to be a member?
PayPal is secure and processes millions of transactions. Most EBay transactions are processed through PayPal. You do not have to be a PayPal member to use PayPal. When you click on the "Buy Now" button on our web site you'll be
transferred to PayPal where if you scroll down you'll see a heading titled "Don't have a PayPal Account?". Follow the link below that heading to pay with a credit card without becoming a PayPal member.
Q: Can I pay by check?
A: Yes, just let me know by email that you'd like to pay by check and I'll send you the mailing address and a link to get started with your site.
Q: Do you accept purchase orders?
A: Yes, many high school and junior high coaches prefer to pay by purchase order. Just send me an email and we'll get you started and provide any information you need to submit the purchase order.
