Hazleton Area 7, Nanticoke 2 - Brady Wolfe belted two singles and had three RBI, and Matt Barletta singled and drove in two runs to guide Hazleton Area to its second win in as many days.

Nanticoke scored two runs in the bottom of the first inning and held the lead until the sixth. Kyle Kline walked and Carl Cara singled to set up Wolfe's game-tying two-run single.

In the top of the seventh Evan Vigna walked, A.J. Greco had a bunt single and pinch runner Henderson Concepcion stole third base to set up a RBI sacrifice fly from Sal Biasi. Tyler Rubasky followed with a single, and Greco reached home on an error on the play to put the Cougars up 4-2.

Cara drew an intentional walk and T.J. Chirico loaded the bases with his own walk to set up Barletta's two-run single. Wolfe capped off the scoring with an RBI base hit.

Rubasky finished the game with two singles and Biasi also had a single in Hazlton Area's eight-hit effort. Anthony Hernandez pitched a complete-game with six strikeouts to pick up the win in his first varsity start.

Josh Decker tripled and Bobby Briggs doubled to pace Nanticoke. Shaun Boyle and Jeff Jezewski each had a base hit.
