«Garretson's splits opening twin bill
LA SALLE — The Garretson's Bears Legion A baseball team opened its season with a doubleheader split, winning the opener against Pomona Panthers12-7 before falling in the nightcap 19-10.
Kelly Gardner got the pitching win during the opener, allowing two earned runs in four innings. The Bears (1-1) finished the game with 10 hits.
In the second game, the Pomona Panthers took advantage of nine Garretson's errors.
