Eagles Lose a Heart Breaker
Right-hander Andrew Newberry pitched a gem yesterday, limiting Orchard Farm to just 5 hits and 1 run. However, that one run proved to be the winner as Orchard Farm defeated the Eagles 1-o at Jim Taylor Field. Newberry struck out 8, while lowering his earned-run average to a microscopic 1.24, but was out-dueled by Orchard Farm pitcher, Russell Weber. The Eagles from Orchard Farm combined 3 hits and a walk to scratch out the only run of the game in the fourth inning. Brentwood managed only 3 hits as their record fell to 3-2.

Next up, a conference road game vs St. John's at the Greens on Thursday. Sophomore Adam Kobler will be on the mound as the Eagles attempt to keep their undefeated conference record intact.
