Article Date: May 15  Eagles Move OnThe Brentwood Eagles took the first step toward a possible District championship by defeating Maplewood 4-1 yesterday. Andrew Newberry continued his mastery over Maplewood by pitching a sparkling one-hitter. It's Newberry's 3rd victory over Maplewood and his 5th overall.
Timely hitting from Greg Farber, Nick Lape, and Jim Lowe proved more than enough as the Eagles went on to victory and raised their record to 11-5.
Next up is a semi-final game with Whitfield on Wednesday. Game time is 4:15 at Brentwood Park.
