***Team Combat 9U 2008 Tournament Results:***
- Fall State Championship "Major Division - 3rd Place" - Pool play started off against OMBC with the TC trailing 6-2 early in the game. TC battled back to win 11-8 in Game 1. TC jumped on the K-Towne Cobras by putting up 12 runs in the 1st inning in Game 2, never looking back to win 14-3. TC finished 2-0 in pool play with the Number 1 seed in Pool B going into the championship bracket. On Sunday, TCfaced off with the West Orange Wolves in championship play. The score remained 0-0 until the third inning with the Wolves scoring 5 runs. TC had a few missed opportunities with bases loaded three times, only to come up short in a hard fought game losing 7-2. It was another great weekend of baseball by the boys and a total team effort.

- Grand Slam Slug Fest III "Open - Champions" -
After two consecutive 2nd place finishes, the 9U team took it all and won their first tournament. The team finished 1-1 in Pool Play, falling to Winter Springs Matrix 9-6 and then beating Inverness Crackers 21 - 6, earning the third seed for Sunday's championship bracket. Starting with an early 8am game, the team came out swinging beating Team Hammer 10-4. After a break, the next opponent was the Central Florida Tigers. The bats kept cracking with the team winning 10-3 to make it the team's third consecutive championship. The championship game was a rematch against the Winter Springs Matrix. After trailing 2-0 early and then 4-2, the team rallied with their bats to pull ahead 6-4 wrapping up their first championship. It capped off a long hard fought day of baseball. Every member of the team contributed and did an excellent job.

- Back to School Labor Day Classic "Open - Runner-Up" - The 9U team came out of pool play the Number 1 seed after two great games on Saturday. The team play a solid semi-final game against the Red Raiders to get to their first title game in Comp Baseball. The
team
played hard but came up short against the Scorpions of Orlando 7-3 to
finish off as Runner-Up. It was a great weekend and only the
start of a promising fall season.

- Civil War Classic III "Open - Runner-Up" -
After TC 9U's pool play games were washed away on Saturday, the team had a tough task of having to play their first of four games at 8am on Sunday. The 9U team faced a tough Mizuno Glory team first and fell 11-0 only to come back and win two straight to get back to it's second consecutive title game. In the second game, TC was down 9-0 in the first only to fight and claw back to win 10-9! It was a true display of heart to not give up. In the third game against the Winter Springs Matrix, TC put it all together both offense and defense to win convincingly 10-1. With that win, TC had earned another shot at Mizuno Glory in the title game. In the title game, TC battled Glory in an excited game and fell 12-4. It was yet another great weekend for TC 9U who finished Runner-Up twice in its first two tournaments of the fall.
