Code of Ethics

The essential elements of character building and ethics in sports are embodied in the concept of sportsmanship and six core principles: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and good citizenship. The highest potential of sports is achieved when competition reflects these “six pillars of character.”

COACH

  • As a CBA coach I will make every effort to:
  • Create a safe and caring environment for players to learn, practice and play
  • Be kind, approachable and make every player feel important
  • Treat each player fairly and as equal members of the team
  • Make every practice and game active and fun

PARENT

  • As a parent I will make every effort to:
  • Attend my child’s games
  • Be a supportive parent for the coach and the team
  • Be a positive role model and demonstrate good sportsmanship
  • Be supportive when my child is successful or struggling for success
  • Refrain from “coaching” my child from the stands

PLAYER

  • As a player I will make every effort to:
  • Play fair
  • Do my best
  • Listen to my coach and parents
  • Hustle when I can
  • Respect my teammates, coaches, parents, opponents and umpires

Have fun

Let the players play,

Let the coaches coach,

Let the officials officiate,

Let the fans cheer ENTHUSIASTICALLY
