Article Date: May 7  Eagles Defeat Metro
Combine hefty hitting, agressive baserunning, and "lights out" pitching and you get a victory! That's exactly what happened yesterday at Brentwood Park. The Eagles soundly defeated Metro 11-1 to finally climb above the .500 mark! Kevin Smith improved his record to 3-2 with a workmanlike 1-hitter. Smith allowed only one hit and one unearned run over five innings, while striking out 8 and walking none. Kevin threw only 64 pitches in what was by far his best performance of the season. Senior Casey Jones paced the Eagles hitting attack, going 3 for 3.
Next up is a non-conference game at Kennedy on Thursday. Game time is 4:15 pm.
