The Brentwood Eagles continued their sudden hitting spree by pounding out 13 hits enroute to a 5-1 non-conference win against the always tough Orchard Farm Eagles. Adam Kobler ran his record to 4-0 with a 14-strikeout performance. With the game in doubt early, left fieldeer Casey Jones made a fabulous running catch of a potential extra-base hit, to prevent a big inning.The catch seemed to energize the Eagles, as they went on to notch their second win in a row.
The Eagles will try to improve their conference record to 3-1 when they play Crossroads today at Brentwood Park. Freshman Kevin Smith will toe the rubber. Game time is 4:15.
