Eagles Open Season
The Eagles opened their season on Friday afternoon at the O'Fallon Christian High School Tournament. Brentwood won their opener against Metro 4-1 behind terrific pitching from Adam Kobler. He pitched four innings, allowing no hits while striking out 12 in the process. Casey Jones homered in the contest to seal the deal.

In the nightcap, Brentwood jumped to a quick 6-0 lead on Tri City Christian Academey of Kansas City, but couldn't hold on as they fell 9-7. Freshman pitcher Kevin Smith pitched a masterful four innings in his Varsity debut.

In the 3rd Place Game vs Valmeyer on Saturday, Sophomore Ryan Jones pitched a terrific 4-plus innings, holding Valmeyer to only one run. However, the wheels fell off after that, as walks and errors caught up with the Eagles and they eventally fell 12-2.

There were many bright spots this weekend that forecast good things to come. Brentwood has a solid lineup and plays aggressive, hustling baseball.

Come out to our home opener on Monday against rival Maplewood. If it we don't freeze, it should be a great game!
