 Comeback Kids Fall Short The Eagles spotted visiting Metro a 10-1 lead before shifting into overdrive last night at Brentwood Park. The "Battling Eagles" roared back to take a 12-11 lead, only to lose a heartbreaker, 16-14. Senior pitcher, Mark Schmuke pitched 3 2/3 innings, allowing only 1 run as the Eagles mounted their comeback. Hats off to our Freshmen, who fueled the comeback. The saying, "play a full 7 innings!" was never more evident than last night as the Eagles refused to give up, even in defeat! Next up, Kennedy High School at Brentwood Park. Game time is 4:15.
