Article Date: Apr 9 The Eagles battled their way to their first victory of the season with a hard-fought 7-5 win against St. John on the road. Brentwood combined strong pitching from starter Jim Lowe and sparkling relief from Adam Kobler to turn aside St. John. It was a complete team effort and the Eagles were rewarded for their persistence and hustle.
Freshman 3rd baseman, Ryan Jones played terrific defense and Senior right-fielder Greg Farber reached base four times as the Eagles evened their overall and conference record at 1-1.
Next up is the home opener against Principia tomorrow. Game time is 4:15 pm, weather permitting. |
